Hi!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

My name is Kjetil.

But you can just call me Jimmy.

Most people do, except for other Norwegians, and even they get the pronunciation wrong half the time.

I am a web frontend developer. I like to build complex, performant user interfaces and think deeply about component architecture, design systems, and developer experience.

This website is my digital garden and playground.
I will use it to share my story, my thoughts, play with code, and whatever I might feel like. It is not perfect.

If you ever visit this website again, some things will probably have changed.

What I'm Building Now

I'm always building something. Usually multiple things at once.

This website

This website started out as a small experiment and it quickly grew to become quite the beast of frontend complexity. It sure is a lot of fun though. And yes, I have plans for more themes.

CSS Astro Design Systems

Colony Sim game

A colony simulation game built with Unity. If this ever becomes playable, it might be fun. I made my own GOAP framework, of course.

C# Unity GOAP

Statsbygg Ecosystem

I am fortunate enough to enjoy my work. Currently building a large-scale government platform with monorepo architecture and shared component libraries

Next.js TanStack Zustand

Various moments in my life

Say hi!

I'm always interested in connecting with other people, discussing anything - life, travel, parenthood, programming, or whatever else.
